The hammer mill is the second largest energy-consuming source in a feed mill after the pellet mill, and quality hammers not only save power consumption but also contribute to quality grinding. Our hammers are made of special high-grade alloy steel and heat treated for greater wear resistance, and are highly balanced to minimize vibration. We manufacture and supply different shapes and styles of hammers, including hard-facing options, as per customer specification.

Using a good quality screen in a hammer mill improves both hammer mill performance and product quality. Our screens have greater opening area — achieved by more holes per unit area — for quick exit of material after size reduction, while additional thickness delivers substantial strength and life: a 1.5x thicker screen gives roughly 3x more life. Screens to customer specifications are also manufactured.
Hammer mill rods are made of special alloy steel and heat treated to reduce wear, tear and grooving. Rods are held to uniform diameter, equal length and equal weight so they do not disturb the balance of the hammer mill rotor in motion. Available in multiple types — welded washer, groove and notch, standard, and open end — all manufactured to close tolerance for a perfect fit with hammer holes.
